November 10, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Event Navigation
AIPNO is organizing the blood drive in collaboration with Red Cross on Nov. 10, at the Solon Community Center, 35000 Portz Parkway, Solon from 9 am to 2 pm.
Please see the 2 ways you can contribute to the Blood Drive:
1. Volunteer at the event – please email and let us know.
2. Donate blood – kindly go to the Redcross website and register at redcrossblood.org, enter the code “soloncommunity” on the top right hand (Find a Blood Drive), and then pick an available time for the Nov. 10 drive.
There is a big need for blood donation in the Cleveland area. Blood donation is something that almost anyone can do and it helps save lives. We will like to get the local Indian community more aware of this need and actively participate in donating blood.
See poster below for details.
Please consider donating blood at this drive. If you register in advance then you an avoid a wait, and the whole process takes about 30-40 minutes. To register, go to redcrossblood.org, enter the code “soloncommunity” on the top right hand (Find a Blood Drive), and then pick an available time for the Nov. 10 drive.
You can also call 1-800-redcross (1-800-733-2767) to register.
Note that if you have been to India in the last 12 months then you are not eligible to give blood. This is because of the risk of malarial infection.
There are various other restrictions on eligibility for blood donation depending on medications you are taking or places you have traveled to in the last 12 months. You can call the Red Cross number provided above to check your eligibility or see https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/how-to-donate/eligibilityrequirements.html for a complete list of eligibility requirements.
I do hope that you will consider supporting this blood drive.
Please send an e-mail to admin@aipno.org when you register to donate – this way AIPNO will be able to track the number of community members supporting the blood drive.
Thanks and warmest regards,
Mona Gupta
