Introducing the President Elect AIPNO

President Elect’s Message.

Prakash Chand, MD grew up in a small town of India dreaming of becoming a physician to answer simple questions which you come across in everyday life during his middle and high school to serve the people, the community and in the larger sense, the country. After completing M.B.B.S from RIMS, Ranchi, he pursued post-graduation in General Surgery from Raipur, India. Destiny had something else in his life, so he moved to Cleveland, US. He started his residency in Internal Medicine in JHMC, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Queens, NY. Thereafter, he pursued the Transplant Hepatology fellowship from Rutgers University, Newark, NJ. He moved back to Cleveland, Ohio to settle down and practice in Internal Medicine and Hepatology in Wooster Community Health system, Wooster and University Hospitals, Elyria Medical Center. His career goal is dedicated to customizing tailor-made care to the patients according to their requirement and socioeconomic boundary. Heis an active member of the Medical Executive Committee in WCHS, Wooster and has special interest in Quality Improvement and is involved in different projects in the hospital to improve the quality of patient care.

He is honored and delighted to serve the Association of Indian Physicians of Northern Ohio (AIPNO) as their President Elect in 2025. The philanthropy, endowment, education, research and healthcare have been the core values of AIPNO since its inception and he has full faith that it will grow more stronger in future. He is confident thatthe past and present leaders of AIPNO will show us the path forward in 2025 and so many years to come.

He would also work hard towards our mission of philanthropy and endowment and take 2025 to its new height. In summer, AIPNO launches education sessions to medical students and residents. Further, it provides opportunities for research and mentorship under AIPNO internationally recognized research scientists. He would work hard for the maximum participation of the medical students, residents and fellows so that they can avail its benefits and opportunities.
